Björn Bernhard
Attorney at Law
After obtaining his licentiate (lic.iur.) at the University of Berne in 2000, Björn Bernhard first completed internships in a Bernese law firm and at the regional court in Burgdorf before being admitted to the bar of the Canton of Berne in 2003 (state examination as an advocate).
In the same year, he continued his work in the department "Legal Advice for SMEs" in an insurance company, where he had already worked during his preparation for the bar exam, before joining a Bernese business law firm as an associate in 2004, where he became a partner in 2007.
In 2009, Björn Bernhard finally founded the Advokatur Bernhard, which he has been running ever since with great pleasure as an independent lawyer. In addition to providing advice, this includes in particular litigation before all German speaking civil courts.
While Björn Bernhard was able to gain experience as a legal advisor for SMEs, mainly in contract law and commercial law, he was responsible for the all-round legal support of a large Swiss company in the following years, with in-depth insights into company law, intellectual property law (copyright, trademark, design), banking and insurance law as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law. Since the establishment of his own law firm, his focus has increasingly been on labour law, tenancy law (especially business premises) and property law, with labour law becoming a particular focus of his work. Particularly noteworthy is his detailed knowledge of the Swiss hospital and practice system.
In addition to his native languages German and Swedish, Björn Bernhard is also able to assist you in English and French, where he can benefit from his study visits to Cambridge and Poitiers.
